Earthquake causes temporary shutdown of Troy mine for safety (December 11, 2012)

The temporary closure of operations at the Troy mine on Wednesday, December 5th, was the result of a magnitude 2.9 earthquake 22 miles southwest of Libby, according to the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS). The depth of the quake was at .6 miles, says the USGS.
