Eagle project runs into hitch
by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio
December 6, 2012

A group wanting to construct the "world's largest metal eagle sculpture" at the North end of Mineral Avenue at the cul de sac has been told by the City Council the property upon which the proposed eagle would be constructed does not belong to the City.

Almost all of the cul de sac is the property of Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad.

A representative of BNSF has told the city BNSF would have liability concerns with such a construction on railroad property.
