Fisher River Stabilization

Rainfall and snow melt over the weekend caused the Fisher River to begin undercutting the shoulder of Highway 2 south of Libby at mile marker 60 1/2. Montana Dept. of Transportation responded with riprap along the river's edge to stabilize the bank. Photo shows work on Tuesday, March 24. Thanks go to Mabel Beito, MDT, for the catch.
