Fire Chief Steve Lauer Sheriff Darren Short Guns vs. Hoses Softball Game Benefitting Lincoln County Unite for Youth by Maggie Craig August 10, 2025 The eighth annual Guns vs. Hoses softball game was held at Lee Gehring Field on Thursday evening, August 7. The friendly rivalry pits Lincoln County law enforcement vs. Libby Volunteer Fire Department. Proceeds benefit Lincoln County Unite for Youth, which supports programs and activities for area kids and their families by developing partnerships with the community. The fire department won the game 16-10. Law enforcement narrowly won last year's game by a score of 14-13.
