The Kootenai Muzzleloaders hosted their spring Rock Creek Rendezvous at Fawn Creek Campground over the weekend of April 11-14. Saturday afternoon's sign-up had 52 participants for the event. The weather was perfect with blue sky and sunshine.
The Rendezvous is a gathering of folks interested in the 1800s Rocky Mountain West, featuring black powder rifle and pistol shooting and 'hawks and knives. Authentic clothing and equipment of the period are always featured at the Rendezvous, and visitors are welcome to attend and see a glimpse of what life was like during the fur-trade era.
The summer Two Rivers Rendezvous will be held July 11-14, also at Fawn Creek Campground.
