Anglers have managed to find some ice fishing spots on Middle Thompson and McGregor Lakes. Upcoming derbies are planned for February 10-11 on Bull Lake sponsored by Halfway House Bar & Grill (Bull Lake Fish Derby), February 17-18 on the Thompson Chain of Lakes sponsored by Fisher River Valley Fire/Rescue Auxiliary (Lower Thompson Chain of Lakes Fish Derby), and February 24-25 on McGregor Lake sponsored by the Lodge at McGregor Lake (McGregor Lake Fish Derby).
