US Highway 2 (US 2) Slope Stability project update

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and Hi-Tech Rockfall are completing work on the US Highway 2 (US 2) Slope Stability project.
Large rock mass removal has taken longer than anticipated. Crews apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience as this work is completed. The week of July 17, drivers can expect crews on the shoulders of the roadway completing final rock scaling and removal, clean-up activities, including ditch clearing and removing temporary barriers from the rock wall.
Traffic control will remain in place throughout the week. While traffic control is present, travelers should anticipate delays of 15 to 25 minutes through the project area. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., with lane closures present 24/7 until project completion. Traffic control will be removed when crews are no longer present in the project area.
