Montucky Clear CUT 2020
February 12, 2020
The Montucky Clear CUT Alpine Snowboard Carving event is being held at Turner Mountain for the second year, initiated by Libby native David Redman. Turner Mountain first hosted the carvers last year when the Alpine Carving Snowboarder group moved their annual event from Aspen. Redman, having grown up in Libby and knowing Turner Mountain well, proposed to the Turner Mountain Board of Directors the event as a fundraiser for Turner, and the Montucky (rural Montana) Clear (clear slopes; not many people) CUT (Carving Up Turner) was born. The ski hill is rented for four days exclusively for use by the alpine carvers, who come to practice their sport, try out new equipment, have fun, and see friends old and new.
