Fisher River Valley Fire/Rescue Ice Fishing Derby

Fisher River Valley Fire/Rescue held its annual ice fishing derby over the weekend, February 8-9. This is the 14th year for the fundraising derby held on the Thompson Chain of Lakes. Over 300 people registered for the event that featured $15,700 in donations that included a raffle package of a fish finder, auger and ice house. There were buckets, sleds, tackle boxes, fishing poles and goodie bags for kids under 12. Payout categories were split equally between pike, salmon, rainbow and perch.
