Two Rivers Rendezvous
July 19, 2019
The Kootenai Muzzleloaders held their annual Two Rivers Rendezvous at Fawn Creek Campground over the weekend, July 12-14. Saturday afternoon's sign-up had 61 participants for the event. The weather cooperated with overall moderate temperatures allowing rifle and pistol shooting, although Saturday afternoon's temperature reached into the mid 80s. Conditions in previous years have been so hot and dry that firearms were not allowed.
The Rendezvous is a gathering of folks interested in the 1800s Rocky Mountain West, featuring black powder rifle and pistol shooting as well as archery and 'hawks and knives. Authentic clothing and equipment of the period are always featured at the Rendezvous, and visitors are welcome to attend and see a glimpse of what life was like during the fur-trade era.
