Libby Polar Bears
First Plunge of the Season
by Maggie Craig
October 28, 2018
Two Libby Polar Bears took their first plunge of the season Sunday afternoon, October 28, in Libby Creek at the Farm to Market bridge. Rick Klin and Steve Sonju are the two regulars who plunge every Sunday through the winter, work schedules permitting. Measured air temperature was 44.2 degrees while the water temperature was 45.3 degrees.
As always, Polar Bear Rick enjoyed his 10 minute soak, although the water was warmer than he likes. The colder, the better, for Libby's hardy Polar Bear.
