Two Rivers Rendezvous
Held at Fawn Creek Campground
July 16, 2018
The Kootenai Muzzleloaders held their annual Two Rivers Rendezvous at Fawn Creek Campground over the weekend, July 13-15. Saturday's sign-up had 51 participants for the event, held a week earlier this year due to fire danger in previous years. The weather cooperated with sunshine and temperatures slightly more moderate than the 90s recorded for the past couple years, with conditions allowing rifle and pistol shooting this year.
The Rendezvous is a gathering of folks interested in the 1800s Rocky Mountain West, featuring black powder rifle and pistol shooting as well as archery and 'hawks and knives. Authentic clothing and equipment of the period are always featured at the Rendezvous, and visitors are welcome to attend and get a glimpse of what life was like during the fur-trade era.
