July 20, 2018 Kootenai National Forest officials this morning (Friday, July 20, 2018) said the wildland fire approximately 3.5 miles up Highway 37 that started Thursday afternoon is now approximately 40-60 acres. The Forest Service expects to get a hose lay in today to control hot spots. The Sheriff's Office at 9:00 a.m. reported that Highway 37 is open but down to one lane controlled by Deputies. Expect delays if traveling Hwy.37. |
