The lakes are freezing over and ice fishing is a popular sport around the area. This fisherman was trying his luck on Middle Thompson Lake on Wednesday. Upcoming derbies include Bull Lake January 20-21, Thompson Chain of Lakes January 27-28, and McGregor Lake February 10-11.
