Riverfront Blues Festival 2016

The 8th annual Riverfront Blues Festival was held Friday and Saturday, August 12-13, at Riverfront Park in Libby. A full lineup of all-star blues bands began at 6:00 p.m. Friday and continued Saturday afternoon and evening and ended with the all-star jam Saturday night. The festival annually provides blues fans with first-rate music in a beautiful setting along the Kootenai River.
The lineup included Black Mountain Moan, Chris O'Leary Band, Harlis Sweetwater Band, Back in Five, Hot Flash Blues Band, Cee Cee James, Phil Berkowitz and the Lucky Losers, Jimmy D. Lane, and the Austin Young Band.
The festival lost one of its dedicated volunteers in May with the death of Jerry Benson, who helped select bands and worked security beginning with the first festival in 2009. Not only was Jerry a blues fan and enthusiastic volunteer, but a dear friend to those who knew him.
