The clans enter It's about family and heritage Kootenai Highland Gathering July 20, 2016 The fourth annual Kootenai Highland Gathering celebrating Celtic culture was held over the weekend, July 15-17, at the River Bend along the Kootenai River. The event features traditional Celtic highland games sanctioned by the Scottish American Athletic Association, pipers, drummers, clans in traditional dress, music, food, and vendors. Different from past years, and welcome, was a comfortable, moderate temperature with the daytime high reaching 70°, according to National Weather Service data.
