Heritage Museum Opens for the Season
June 6, 2016
The Heritage Museum held its opening day Saturday, June 4, with presentations, demonstrations and fun activities for the entire family. Speakers, music, square dancing, gold panning, face painting, Smokey Bear, Model T rides, fire truck rides, and burgers in the historic cookhouse were the order of the day. Volunteers were also available to give an update on the Shay locomotive. The museum's opening day had plenty of sunshine and a high of 88°.
The museum is now open for the season: Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome.
