Libby Polar Bears New Year Plunge
January 5, 2016

The Libby Polar Bears held their New Year Plunge Sunday,
January 3, at Riverfront Park in Libby. With a light snow,
air temperature of 18° and a water temperature of 39.9°, it
was a perfect polar bear day. Polar Bears Rick Klin, Steve
Sonju and Alan Gerstenecker took the plunge. David Thompson
Search and Rescue's Ted Jewell was on hand for an added
safety measure.
