Heritage Museum’s Holiday Bazaar Nov. 6th & 7th

Handcrafted items, holiday photo opportunities, raffle, gift certificates and more
The Heritage Museum will hold a Holiday Bazaar on Friday, November 6th from 5 to 8 pm and Saturday, November 7th from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be selection of handcrafted items including woodcrafts, jewelry, needlecrafts, photography, note cards, Christmas stockings, artwork, specialty candies & baked goods and more for your holiday shopping. The proceeds go to support The Heritage Museum in Libby. The Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild will have a display of their quilts upstairs in the Tower Gallery.
In addition, the Museum will have a table with items and gift certificates that have been generously donated for this sale by local merchants and friends of the museum. 100% of the money earned at this table goes directly to the Heritage Museum.
On Friday night, bazaar shoppers can come straight from work and warm up with a bowl of award-winning chili in the cookhouse before shopping the night away. The cookhouse is the white building located at the end of the parking lot at the Museum. Hamburgers and cheeseburgers will top the menu on Saturday. There will also be a nice selection of baked goods both Friday and Saturday including pie and other goodies.
New for this year, on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Museum will have Model T’s will be in front of the old gas station behind the cookhouse – a great backdrop for family Christmas photos! For $10, visitors can don a selection of old-fashioned hats and scarves and then have your photo taken and saved onto a CD before you leave. Funds raised from this photo event will benefit The Heritage Museum’s Model T’s. In the event of inclement weather, the photo shoot will be in a covered area.
The Holiday Bazaar is the museum’s main fundraiser of the year. The museum depends on the Holiday Bazaar to cover the yearly insurance premium and the winter heating bills. A large portion of the profit will come from the raffle. First prize is $100 cash and a personal fitness kit donated by Edward Jones; second prize is a $100 gift card to Torgy’s. There are numerous third prizes donated by all the participating crafters. Tickets are $12 by the book, $1 each, 6 for $5 and are available at the museum or naturally Good Things, 313 California Ave. The drawing will take place during the Holiday Bazaar at 3 PM on Saturday, Nov. 7th - need not be present to win. The Heritage Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
