Klatawa Fire Pre-Evacuation Orders lifted near Libby

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has cancelled all pre-evacuation orders related to the Klatawa fire effective Monday, September 7th at 10:00 a.m. Cooler weather and rain along with completion of contingency lines around the Klatawa fire have lessened concern for fire growth. After discussion with the Goat Rock Complex fire management team the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is comfortable lifting all pre-evacuation notices related to the Klatawa fire.
The Sheriff's Office and the Goat Rock Complex fire management team would like to thank the residents and business affected by this pre-evacuation for their cooperation.
All Klatawa fire pre-evacuation areas are lifted as of Monday morning, to include: The homes on Lower Granite Lake Road, Granite Creek Road, Willow Road, Prospect Creek Road, Winchester Drive and Granite Lake Road. The homes and businesses west of Highway 2, starting from Pearl Street near Akins South Gas Station and extending south to and including Bear Creek Road. This also includes all homes on Snowshoe Road south of Hogan Drive.
