Libby Polar Bears Last Swim of Season

The Libby Polar Bears took their last swim of the season on
Easter Sunday in Libby Creek at the Farm to Market bridge.
The weather and runoff was cooperative, with the water
temperature at 43.9 degrees and the air temperature at 51
degrees. High runoff prohibited their swim about three
weeks earlier.
Just three Polar Bears braved the chilly water: Rick Klin,
Steve Sonju and Matthew White. While many have attempted a
swim or two throughout the years, not many make it a
regular occurrence like these three hardy Polar Bears.
