‘Where The Ghosts Are’ talk May 31
On opening day at The Heritage Museum in Libby
May 20, 2014

The Heritage Museum will host the Humanities Montana Speakers Bureau Program "Haunted Montana: Where the Ghosts Are!" with Karen Stevens on Opening Day, Saturday, May 31. The program will be in the Beebe Room of The Heritage Museum, 34067 US Highway 2, Libby, at 11:00 a.m. The presentation is free and open to the public. Partial funding for the Speakers Bureau Program is provided by a legislative grant from Montana’s Cultural Trust and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

For more than 30 years retired librarian Karen Stevens has collected ghost stories from all over Montana. Stevens will present a "virtual tour" and discussion of haunted sites that are of historical interest, have recent ghostly activity, and are open to the public. Sites include the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, the Old Montana State Prison, and well-known bars, hotels, restaurants, theaters, and museums. At the conclusion of the program, members of the audience will be invited to share their own ghostly encounters.

Stevens grew up in a haunted house and has been fascinated by ghosts ever since. She is an experienced paranormal investigator and is the author of three books, Haunted Montana, More Haunted Montana and Glacier Ghosts, Legends and Mysteries. She lives in Billings, Montana.
