Museum Holiday Bazaar Nov. 1 & 2 in Libby
by The Heritage Museum
October 16, 2013
A chill is in the air and that means it’s time for The Heritage Museum’s Holiday Bazaar which kicks off the holiday season each year. The fun begins on Friday, November 1st from 5 to 8 pm and continues on Saturday, November 2nd from 10 am to 4 pm.
The museum’s aisles will be transformed to a shopper’s delight with table after table of wood crafts, baskets, needlecrafts, pottery, jewelry, photographs, artwork, holiday décor, baked goods, candies and more. Whether you’re shopping for gift-giving or just for yourself, you’re sure to find something that suits your taste on the crafters’ well-stocked tables. In addition, the Museum’s table will be overflowing with items and gift certificates that have been generously donated for this sale by local merchants and friends of the museum. 100% of the money earned at this table goes directly to the museum.
Before or after shopping, stop in at the museum’s historic cookhouse where baked potatoes are on the menu on Friday night. Then on Saturday, hungry shoppers will want to make their way to the cookhouse for lunch. Our busy bakers will be sure there is a nice selection of homemade pies and cakes on hand, so save some room for dessert!
The Holiday Bazaar is the museum’s main fundraiser of the year, using the profits to cover the yearly insurance premium and the winter heating bills. The Heritage Museum is run completely by volunteers and is funded by donations. A large portion of the Holiday Bazaar profit will come from the raffle. First prize is $100 cash; second prize is dinner for two at The Venture and a $25 gift certificate to the MK Steakhouse. There are numerous third prizes donated by all the participating crafters. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available from museum volunteers or at Naturally Good Things, 313 California Ave, in Libby. The drawing will take place during the Holiday Bazaar at 3 PM on Saturday, Nov. 2nd. You need not be present to win.
