Museum Chili Cookoff to end by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio September 12, 2013 The 2012 Chili Cookoff was the last. The Heritage Museum Annual Chili Cookoff is no more, according to Susan Castaneda, the event organizer. Castaneda said there are too few volunteers to organize the event properly any longer. The wonderful contestants, judges and emcees, generous sponsors, Lee Toner and his strolling minstrels and the dedicated volunteers made this a successful event for the past seven years. However, the organizing volunteers are now stretched too thin to offer a quality event."
