Libby Nordicfest 2013
September 17, 2013
It was another successful Nordicfest weekend with all the usual events we love and more! Special attraction Rob Quist and Great Northern headlined Nordicfest with a show at the VFW Saturday night.
Three day events included the International Fjord Horse Show at J. Neils Park, a juried craft show at the Memorial Center, the Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild quilt show at Asa Wood School, food booths and outdoor entertainment, and a Long Ship Viking Encampment at the Chamber of Commerce.
Two day events included the Libby Fine Arts Show at Timberline Ford and a Hardanger display at Frames Unlimited.
Friday's bunad parade and youth runnerfell races at Libby Elementary School, Saturday's parade along Mineral Avenue and children's events at the Memorial Center, and assorted breakfasts and dinners all three days completed the array of weekend offerings.
Nordicfest, celebrating Libby's Scandinavian heritage, has been an annual tradition since 1985.
