Libby Dam Visitor Center is switching to its winter schedule starting Saturday, September 14th.
The Visitor Center and Libby Dam tours will be available by appointment only, limited by weather and staff availability during the winter. Please call ahead to make an appointment: (406) 293-5577.
Souse Gulch Day use area will be winterized and closed Sept. 23. However, the campgrounds below the dam remain open as well as the viewpoints around the dam, weather permitting.
Fall is a wonderful time to take advantage of the mild temperatures and enjoy changing colors of fall leaves, an afternoon picnic or boat ride, fishing, disc golf, or watching for wildlife and birds in and around the Libby Dam recreation areas.
