Photo Conservation presentation August 7th

Does your family have a treasure trove of old photographs or scrapbooks? Would you like your memories to last generations? At The Heritage Museum, you can learn basic methods that archivists and museum professionals use to preserve photographic materials. The presentation will include tips for archival care and storage of photographs, how to safely scrapbook and display photographs, and strategies for successfully digitizing photographs. The conversation will also touch on the specific needs of different photographic formats. This presenter will be Adrienne Evans, graduate student at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, who is interning this summer at the museum. The presentation is free to the public and will be offered Wednesday, August 7 at 7 p.m. in the Beebe Room of The Heritage Museum, 34067 US Highway 2 in Libby.
