Saturday, May 18th, the Lincoln County Alcohol Enforcement Team conducted another round of Alcohol Compliance Checks concentrated in Libby and Troy, and found the results follow the county-wide trend toward more responsible sales and service regarding youth and alcohol.
Six of the seven businesses involved in the operation passed their compliance check; the employee asked for valid ID, verified the buyer was under 21, and refused the sale or service of alcohol to the minor. Town Pump, Stein’s Market in Troy, and Saverite South, Lucky Lill’s Casino, Mint Bar, Pastime Lounge passed; Koocanusa Marina failed in Libby.
Montana Board of Crime Control’s Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws grant funds the enforcement operation aimed at reducing both retail and social availability such as compliance checks, party patrols and source investigations through December 2013. ____________________________________________
