Flathead's Zach Perrin runs the 1600 in 4:09.24
 May 13, 2013
Libby High School track athletes had their last meet of the regular season Friday evening at Logger Stadium. The
traditional Flathead Dual was held, with Flathead athletes
outnumbering and outscoring the Loggers (Flathead boys 138
to Loggers 13; Flathead girls 134 to Lady Loggers 10).

However, the mood was congenial, and there were some
incredible times recorded at the meet. History was in the
making as Flathead's Zach Perrin set a record in the 1600
meter race with a time of 4 minutes, 9.24 seconds. This is
the fastest time recorded by a Montana athlete, beating the
old state record set by David Vidal in 2001 of 4:13:29.
 Congratulations to Zach.

The Flathead girls' 400 meter relay team also finished with
its best time of the season and the best time in the state
this year, beating their own state best they set last
weekend. Their time was 48.84 seconds. Congratulations to
 this fast foursome as well.

And of course, the FatMan Relay is always a highlight of the
Dual, with the two teams letting their creativity run wild
 with silly costumes and antics.

The Loggers will next travel to Class A Divisionals, held
next weekend, May 17-18, at Whitefish.
