The Heritage Museum will open for the 2013 summer season on Saturday, June 1st. They have a full day of fun and events planned.

Kootenai Muzzleloaders Display and Demonstrations
Rope-making demonstration by Charles Robbins
Gold Panning Lincoln County Amateur Radio Group will demonstrate the sending of messages, some in Morse code, around the world.
On Display: Restored 1946 Buffalo Fire Truck, Hyster Lumber Carrier & 1926 Model T
Stop by the Shay shed and see how the Shay Locomotive restoration is coming along!
MONTANA NATIONAL GUARD PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT on display in the museum for the month of June
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. IN THE YARD Kim Annis, Bear Management Specialist from Fish, Wildlife & Parks, will answer questions and give advice on bear awareness. Bring the kids to see and touch real stuffed bears!
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Libby Miner Print Shop Mike Powers will be in the print shop operating the manual printing press. Stop in to receive a souvenir printed on site!
10:30 a.m. BEEBE ROOM Jeff Gruber presents "LIBBYS SAWMILL AND STUD MILL" Photos of the sawmill and stud mill over several decades will be shown and discussed. Audience participation is encouraged.

1 p.m. BEEBE ROOM A VISIT WITH TEDDY ROOSEVELT portrayed by Arch Ellwein Meet the vibrant 26th president and hear his views on conservation, agriculture, and democracy, all shaped by his Western experience.
2:30 p.m. BEEBE ROOM SHADOWS OF DAVID THOMPSON, a documentary by George Sibley
3 p.m. to 5 p.m. - SWAMP CREEK COMMUNITY HALL Old- fashioned Sock Hop! Take off your shoes and dance the afternoon away!
