Libby Odd Fellows present LCC student with scholarship
by Flathead Valley Community College
March 16, 2013
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Cabinet Lodge No. 68 in Libby presented a $500 scholarship to Flathead Valley Community College Lincoln County Campus student Ezra Dolezal.
The Odd Fellows is a community-based group whose mission is to provide those in need with resources to help meet their needs. The organization dates back to 1790 in England when a group of men set out to help people in need during an epidemic. They were termed "odd fellows" by the elite who found it odd that anyone would want to help the poor.
Dolezal is pursuing an Associate of Arts transfer degree in with an emphasis in theatre arts. The scholarship will be used to help with school expenses.
