Libby Dam flow update – February 4, 2013

Current Koocanusa Reservoir elevation is 2395.1 feet. Current Koocanusa Reservoir inflow is ~3.5 kcfs. Current Libby Dam outflow is 4 kcfs.
Preparation of the February update to Libby Water Supply Forecast is underway. Early indications are that the forecast will be significantly lower than was last month's. Accordingly, Libby is now releasing the minimum discharge of 4,000 cfs. This release will likely be held throughout the month of February.
The official February Water Supply Forecast will be released by the 5th business day of the month, February 7th.
The Northwest River Forecast Center creates daily forecasts for short term projections throughout the Kootenai and Columbia River Basins. These forecasts can be updated multiple times in a day and can be updated at anytime as conditions change. Links to those projections can be found below:
