Rick Ball, Director of Lincoln County Libraries, says the Libby branch will be moving to the former Asa Wood school. According to Ball, this is a joint project between the City, the County and the School District and is still in the initial planning stages.
Ball says the site will allow the Library to become the hub of the community with After-School programs and potential for numerous other activities.
The gym, the playground, basketball courts and the walking track are all there. It is a very large, centrally located property that could be used for almost anything; ice skating, cross country skiing, the community pool if that should come on the horizon again. There are showers in the building. There would be a theater room, space for craft bazaars.
Ball said he would like to see a café and coffee shop on the premises. __________________________________________
