Death Notice: Dalton Wayne Mossey

Sunday, (January 6), about 4:02 P.M., Lincoln County Sheriff's Office dispatch received a 911 call in which the caller reported just finding an apparent suicide while hiking on the Old Highway 2 trail near Shannon Flats, 4 miles southeast of Troy.

Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies found the body of a male hanging from a rope.

The deceased has been identified as Dalton Wayne Mossey, age 21, of Troy.

Detective Duane Rhodes and County Coroner Steve Schnackenberg investigated. The investigation has concluded. The manner death has been ruled suicide.

Troy Police assisted with notification to the family.
