Highway 2 Reconstruction

Major reconstruction of Highway 2 south of Libby is ongoing.
This is work shown Monday south of Libby Creek near the
beginning of the project. This phase of the project
reconstructs about four miles of the highway. The MDOT
description reads: "US-2 Mile Marker 44.9 to 48.6
Libby Creek South, 12 miles SE of Libby. Reconstruction work
in progress. Expect reduced speed varying from 35 to 45 MPH,
single lane closures, flaggers. Clearing, grubbing, and
grading are underway. Work will continue until mid-November
or until weather dictates shut down."
