Online registration open for wolf trapper certification classes

Online registration is open for wolf trapper certification classes across northwest Montana. Certification is required in order to use a wolf license to trap wolves. Classes will be held on Saturday, September 22 in Libby at Asa Wood School frin 9 am-4 pm.
To participate in a wolf trapper certification class, potential trappers must register online through the FWP website (look under the Education tab, then click "Wolf Trapping Education" at fwp.mt.gov). The system will ask for contact information including your ALS number if you have one. You may also register by using http://tinyurl.com/wolftrapping
Students must attend the entire class session to be certified. Montana’s first wolf trapping season opens December 15 and runs through February 28. Trapping licenses are on sale now and cost $20 for residents and $250 for nonresidents. ________________________________________
