Lincoln County Animal Control has captured a rabid bat downtown near the courthouse.
It is recommended that you get your cats and dogs vaccinated for rabies. Kootenai Pets for Life will be administering shot September 11th and September 28th at the KPFL shelter. The shots will be $15 per pet. Shots are available from veterinarians.
Should you find a bat that is in the open during the day, or one that is acting lethargic, call Lincoln County Animal Control. Typically, bats acting in such a manner are sick and need to be dealt with before pets are infected. __________________________________________
