New Libby Veteran’s Memorial planned by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio June 21, 2012 Plans are underway for a Veteran's Memorial for Libby. Representatives of the group planning the Memorial showed the Libby City Council early renderings of the proposal. In very early stages, it will honor veterans with inscribed bricks with name, rank, branch of service and date information. Each branch of the five military branches will have its shield displayed. In the center is a pentagon with the shields mounted on the sides, and the bricks radiating out around in a pentagonal field. The project will take a couple of years to develop.
