STOKR Saturday 2012

Saturday was a beautiful day for the STOKR 2012 riders, 445 of
whom had signed up for the weekend ride. Saturday's riders
had a choice of either the Lake Creek/Iron Creek 45-mile loop,
or the 98-mile Yaak/Pipe Creek loop. Unlike two years ago,
which many of the riders quite unfavorably remembered with its
cold, snow, hypothermia and miserable conditions, this year's
STOKR weekend provided outstanding weather and beautiful views
of Kootenai Country.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make this another
successful STOKR, and to all the riders who came to support
the Kootenai Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity. It takes
two STOKRs to build one home, and to date, eight homes have
been built with another in the works.
