April 18, 2012
U Serve Libby, Inc. is planning a fundraising weekend April 27 & 28. On Friday, April 27 from 10 AM-6 PM and Saturday, April 28 from 8 AM-2 PM, they will have a Rummage Sale. They are still collecting items, so if you have something to donate, please call Laurie at 406-293-8260. They can usually make arrangements to pick up donations. The sale will take place at 33866 US Highway 2, at the bottom of Shaughnessy Hill. Later on Saturday, April 28 at 7 PM, They will be having a BINGO night at the Elks Club. All cash games are included for $20. Mystery prize games are $1 each. They will have free snacks and desserts for players. There will also be a silent auction. Make it a fun "date night" or "Girls’ Night Out." U Serve Libby, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and proceeds from these events go to the Community Tennis Court Fund. The tennis courts have been getting a lot of use. The free evening lessons last summer were a great success and will be repeated this year on Tuesday nights starting in June after school is out. There will also be a tennis clinic this summer for ages 8 – adult. Libby High School was able to host Class A Divisional here last year for the first time in many years, and Troy will be hosting Class B Divisional at the Libby Community Courts this year. These tournaments bring people to Libby. Meals, lodging, gas and more are purchased in town over the 2-3 day event. U Serve Libby is pleased that the business community is starting to reap the benefits after all the years of support. Through more generous donations, U Serve Libby is about to install a backboard. Plans are underway for an equipment shed to be built as an Eagle Scout project. U Serve Libby, Inc. appreciates the community’s continued support.
