Not enough candidates to warrant election, nominees appointed instead

Libby School District 4 has cancelled the School Board Trustee Election. The election had been set for May 8th. The number of candidates for the three positions on the Board of Trustees ended up equal to the number of seats up for grabs. Two incumbents Ellen Johnston and Bruce Sickler, and Melissa LaGoy filed. Incumbent Lee Disney chose not to stand for reelection, and the only other nominee chose not file.

The result is the three candidates are appointed by default.
