Snow melt may cause streams to rise and possible mudslides
Advisory for March 29th & 30th
March 28, 2012
The National Weather Service is advising that significant rainfall on Friday and Saturday (March 29 & 30) in north-central Idaho and northwest Montana may combine with snow melt to cause a significant rise in small streams with some potentially going into flood stage. There is also the possibility of mud/rock slides, ponding of water and/or small stream flooding. Those along waterways and in low-lying areas are advised to monitor weather conditions for current updates: www.weather.gov/missoula
