New officers Eileen Carney, President; Tami White, Vice President and Shelter Director; Connie Holthaus, Secretary; and Carol McAllister, Treasurer were elected at the Monday, March 12 meeting of Kootenai Pets for Life. Board members are Anita Beasley, Susan Bulyar, Lynn Hagarty, Judy Hyslop, Beth Murray, Bobbi McCanse, and Linda Newstrom.

Kootenai Pets for Life was started in 2001 by a group of concerned citizens to provide a humane, no-kill Shelter for the stray and abandoned pet population of the Libby/Troy area. Kootenai Pets for Life is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization providing shelter, assisting our community with spay and neuter, foster care, veterinary assistance and education.

Interested persons can be an active or silent member. Stop by the Shelter at 125 County Shop Road in Libby or call 406-293-kpfl (5735) and arrange a time for a short training program. You can become part of the KPFL team by walking dogs, socializing cats, grooming animals, shelter cleaning, grounds upkeep, foster care, medical expenses, pet food or supplies, fund raising, or office work.
