A Canadian woman died Friday from injuries sustained when she was hit by a tractor trailer near Eureka.
The empty chip truck was returning from a run to Canada at 12:30 Friday morning when driver Mark Gibson, 50, of Columbia Falls struck Lori Lavigne, 33, of Vancouver B.C. on Highway 93 north of Eureka. Lavigne was wearing dark clothing according to the Montana Highway Patrol.. Alcohol appears to be a factor for Laivgne who was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed and the case is being reviewed by the Lincoln County attorney. ________________________________________ by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio, www.todaysbestcountryonline.com e-mail: klcb@frontiernet.net.
