Thompson Chain of Lakes Fishing Derby

Fisher River Valley Fire and Rescue sponsored its sixth annual
fundraising ice fishing derby over the weekend on the Thompson
Chain of Lakes. An anticipated 275-300 anglers were expected
to enter to try their luck for rainbow, salmon, pike and
perch. Over 100 sponsors from Libby, Troy, Kalispell,
Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Bonners Ferry contributed prizes
for the event. Mason Riley, from Columbia Falls, is shown
fishing Saturday afternoon on Middle Thompson Lake.
