Theatre in Libby and Troy - February 3, 5 & 10
by Lincoln County Libraries
January 9, 2012
The Lincoln County Libraries and The Pitiful Players are once again teaming up to bring some wonderful, thought-provoking theatre to Libby and Troy. The show, "Many are the Hearts", will be presented Friday February 3rd, 7:00PM and Sunday February 5th, 2:00PM at the Memorial Center in Libby. Then on Friday February 10th, the show will be presented at the Troy High School at 7:00PM. As with all library programs, there is no charge.
"Many are the Hearts" is a touching tale of those who truly lived the Civil War, the men on the front lines. "I looked through dozens of scripts" said director Keith Meyers, "and this was the only one that put a human face on the war". Set in late 1864, the show revolves around a detachment of veteran Confederate Artillery soldiers and a young recruit, who needs to learn the ways of war, and men, and honor.
This program is made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association.
