Hunter likely won’t be charged in friend’s accidental shooting death during grizzly bear attack by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio December 22, 2011 The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department says the department won't be filing any charges against Ty Bell and Sheriff Robie Bowe doesn't think MT Fish, Wildlife & Parks will either. Steve Stevenson and his friend Ty Bell were hunting in the Yaak attack in September when they came upon a grizzly bear, which attacked Stevenson, who was fatally shot and killed during the grizzly attack. The Montana Medical Examiner confirmed the grizzly did not kill Stevenson; he died from a gunshot wound to the chest fired by Bell using Stevenson's rifle.
