Ron Klin (center), his twin brother Rick (left) and nephew Ben Klin are shown after their dip in the Kootenai River Saturday afternoon at Riverfront Park. Ron, who has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair, expressed his desire to take a polar bear dip and scheduled it for Saturday. With an air temperature of 35 degrees and water temperature of 44 degrees, it really was a day fit for polar bears. Ron's brother, commonly known as "Polar Bear Rick," spearheads the local Polar Bear chapter, which meets for a dip in Libby Creek every Sunday afternoon through the winter.
