Volunteers needed for Halloween extravaganza at Libby Dam
October 16, 2011
The 21st Century Afterschool program and Libby Dam are co-hosting a Halloween Extravaganza on Saturday, October 29th. The program is available to 7th-12th grade students. There will be three components to this event: night disc golf, haunted dam tours, and activities in the visitor’s center. The events planned are: haunted hallows geo-caching with great prizes, theater premier of Goonies, pumpkin carving contest, cake walk, Halloween arts and crafts, bobbing for apples, lots of treats, music, and surprises. Also included in this event will be transportation to and from the dam, dinner, snacks, and prizes for all participants.
Organizers are currently looking for volunteers, Halloween decorations, pumpkins, and prizes for this event, and people who would be willing to sponsor an area in the haunted dam. You would design, set-up, and staff a small area. This would be great for youth groups, school clubs or organizations, community groups, businesses, women's or men’s groups, church groups, etc. Baked goods are also needed.
If you or anyone you know has any items to donate or would like to volunteer to help is this event, please contact Kaide Dodson at 406-334-0254.
