As a follow-up to the free tennis clinic offered each Monday evening this past summer, U Serve Libby, Inc. will sponsor a Junior (7-12th grades) Round-Robin Tournament Saturday, September 17th starting at 10 a.m. at the Libby Community Tennis Courts located on East Spruce Street near the Montana Athletic Club. Balls will be provided, but players need to bring their own racket. (You need not have been on the LHS tennis team to participate).
Then Sunday, September 18th, starting at 3 p.m., there will be adult mixed doubles fun play with Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint, Idaho players. Libby players will be teamed up with Idaho players. Libby players will also provide for a pot-luck supper around 6 p.m., so players need to bring food items, etc. Everyone should also bring a can of balls, a lawn chair, and a folding table, if you have one.
There is no entry fee for either Saturday or Sunday. Come and participate, or bring a chair and come enjoy watching some tennis at this beautiful new facility. If you have questions, call Laurie Mari at 406-293-8260.
